Los Angeles, CA (ContentDesk) September 01, 2005 -- Kevin Wessell, renowned asset protection and estate planning expert said today that business travelers should be aware of a legal and proper program for a US tax deduction that allows them to travel on business, perhaps spend some leisure time on their trip, and deduct 100% of the transportation costs for the trip. Wessell heads LA area-based Companies Incorporated that provides corporation formation in all 50 US states, asset protection, offshore trusts accounts and estate planning.
Information on Mr. Wessell and CI's suite of services for businesspersons can be accessed via their web site at www.companiesinc.com. Deducting Business Trips Wessell points out: "As you probably know, when taking a vacation is the main purpose for traveling, the IRS does not allow you to deduct your transportation expenses.
Whereas, if the main reason for the trip is a business purpose, the IRS says you can deduct 100% of your transportation cost for travel within the US. Therefore, the aim is to be sure that the main purpose of the trip is business. There is no law against having a bit of fun while on your business trip.
Do things right and you can deduct 100% of your transportation expenses."He went on to point out, "Here is one provision that is quite controversial but has passed the IRS muster:
If you do business on Wednesday through Friday and stay Saturday and Sunday, are the last two days tax deductible?
The answer is quite straightforward - it depends.
If the purpose of staying the weekend is to have a couple of vacation days, it probably is not.
However, if the purpose is to save money on airfare because a Saturday night stay lowers the plane fare more than the costs of staying an extra night or two, it likely is." It's essential to figure out exactly what is required to deduct travel without raising red flags.
If an audit reveals you have crossed the line, not only will you not be allowed your deductions, but you will also be required to pay interest on the amounts owed plus pay a penalty of 5%.
Moreover, if the IRS determines that you have purposefully broken the rules, the penalty can be as high as 50%, according to Wessell. He added, "Prior to writing off your business trip, be sure your deductions are legitimate.
The size of your deductions is reliant upon the purpose of your trip.
The IRS classifies travel as either entirely business, primarily for business or primarily for personal reasons." Wessell said in conclusion, "The most audited business type is the sole proprietorship or partnership - more specifically, the Schedule "C" (self employment form).
The least audited type of business is a corporation.
So, having the corporation pay for a business trip is less likely to be taken to task than taking the same deduction through the previously mentioned business types.
As an employee, you can deduct un-reimbursed travel expenses if you need to do business away from home.
Transportation costs, lodging, laundry, telephone and Internet expenses are some of the available deductions.
Usually, meals are 50% deductible too."About Companies IncorporatedEstablished in 1977, privately-held Companies Incorporated serves both large and small businesses throughout the USA and in some foreign locales with incorporating services, establishing LLCs (limited liability companies) to creating offshore companies aimed at protecting assets to legally reducing annual taxes.

Do I Really Need Colonic Irrigation ?
Colonic irrigation is lauded by its advocates as providing relief from a number of complaints, while improving also the general health and wellbeing of the irrigation patient. Many mainstream medical professionals, however, as opposed to the alternative practitioners who usually provide the colonic irrigations, remain less than enthused by the treatment, and claim that the procedure merely provides an expensive version of a detox that the body is more than capable of performing by itself. So is the cost of colonic irrigation really justified, or would the consumer be better off with a store bought laxative?
The difference, perhaps, between the colonic irrigation and the laxative is that the first is said to be conducive to maintaining health, while the second is usually only taken as a quick fix when something is clearly wrong with our digestives systems. Not purporting to offer anything other than the most immediate and minimal sort of detox, a laxative makes no lofty...

All You Ever Wanted To Know About Earrings But Were Afraid to Ask
It is thought that earrings date back to 3000 BC where they originated in Asia and appeared in 2 formats, one being the simple hoop earring and the other the more elaborate pendant earring.
The oldest earrings ever found by archaeologists were discovered in royal graves in Iraq and date back to around 2500 BC. Gold, silver and bronze hoop earrings have also been found dating back to 2000 BC in Crete. In those days it was customary to bury jewellery with the dead.
In 16th century in the New Kingdom of ancient Egypt a type of earring called an earplug became fashionable and these fitted snugly into a wide stretched hole in the earlobe. This type of piercing is seen on the sculpture of Tutankhamen.
Poverty in the Dark ages meant that work with precious metals dwindled although some goldsmiths preserved designs that were to later emerge in 7th century Greece. The most popular earrings then there were the pendant type and they often featured a bird or likenesses of the...
Paint Your Wagons - Reduce Your Van Insurance Premium With Van Livery
(ContentDesk) October 20, 2005 -- Did you think van livery was too expensive? Think again, as it could pay for itself in insurance savings. The thinking behind this is that a branded van is less appealing to thieves, easier to identify in case of an accident and thus more likely to be driven with care. Insurance premiums could therefore be reduced if owners add sign writing to the sides of their vehicles that clearly identifies the business or highlights the fact that they are members of approved trade organisations. Another way to reduce insurance costs is to add a How Well Do I Drive? badge at the rear of the van. This gives disgruntled motorists the opportunity to register any complaint with an independent monitor that will investigate instances of alleged dangerous or reckless driving on their behalf.Other good news for van drivers is that those with driving convictions can now find more competitive van insurance rates. With the number of speed cameras increasing across the nations...

Conversion Van Camping Advice
Conversion van camping doesn't give you the luxury of life in an RV, nor the discomfort of sleeping in a tent. It can be tough to safely heat a van at night, but it's cheap compared to an RV, and you can go places they cannot. We spent more than 25 nights sleeping in our conversion van last year.Life In A Conversion VanMake your van into something that's useable for you, especially if it's going to be your residence for days or weeks at a time. For my wife and I, this meant having space to move around. We took out the two middle seats which, I convinced Ana, would be good armchairs for the living room.
Then we had enough space for dressing or cooking. The bench-seat in back folds out into a comfortable bed, so we were all set for camping. When traveling, you need a system of organization to keep your space inside the van livable. After our first long trip, we noticed the many things we never used. We got more efficient after that. We're also able to keep the space open, despite...
